Double boiled pear (ya li) with north south almonds n white fungus by Shen Cui Ling


I steam on "high" mode for about 1 to 2 hours. You all try if pear soft mean ready. But I did use boiling water for urn and also inside the slow cooker. Very easy de. Just use any covered cook ware suitable for oven bake with closed lids that can fit in slow cooker. I did use a steam rack at the bottom of the urn meaning urn not touching the slow cooker pot . Bit sure if it's necessary ya... I added rock sugar to pear , fungus n north south almonds. This is a liang or cooling dessert. If you don't want too liang just add red dates ! Have fun double boiling ! Really a luxury treat ! Haha
