Wonton soup by Janice Looi


Minced pork about 200g
Minced prawns about 20 to 25pcs
1 dessertspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2tsp cornflour
Spring onions
Parsely (optional)


Mix well n stir in one direction till it feels sticky, set aside in the fridge for 1hr.
Scoop 2/3 full onto the wonton skin and seal. Bring a pot of water to a boil n parboil the wonton, set aside.
Fry 2 to 3 slices of ginger n few stalk of spring onions till fragrant, add in ikan bilis stock n bring to a boil. Lower heat n simmer for 30 to 45mins.
When stock is ready, add in the wonton, vegetables, pepper, dash of sesame oil, spring onions, parsley n fried shallots.
