Stew Beef with Carrot and Radish by Lynn See


Ingredients

500g beef, cut into chunks
1 large tomato, cut into chunks
1 white radish, cut into chunks
1 carrot, cut into chunks
1 onion, cut into chunks
4 clove garlic, crushed
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cups beef stock + 2 cup water
1 tsp sugar
1.5 - 2 tsp salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Parsley

Method

Sprinkle some salt and pepper on beef.
Saute garlic and onion in oil till brown. Set aside.
Brown beef in oil on both sides for about 5 mins.
Add in tomato, onion and garlic and simmer for another 5-10mins.
Pour in the beef broth and water and rest of seasoning. Simmer for 1.5 hours.
Add in the carrot and raddish and Simmer for another 45 - 60mins or till carrot and Raddish is soft.
Garnish with parsley and more ground pepper.
