Fried calamari rings by Christine Tan


2 medium size squids
Remove the purple skin from the squid and those stuffs in it as well. Wash clean and slice the squid into rings. Drain water and set aside.

In another clean bowl, add some flour and mix the seasoning below.

1 tablespoon corn flour
12 tablespoons of top flour
3/4 - 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black coarse pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar (u can omit it too depending on ur taste)


Pour the sliced squids into the mixed flour and mix them well

Heat a pot of oil (big fire)
Add the sliced calamari into the pot and deep fry them (don't overcrowd the calamari rings in the pot)

Fry until the calamari rings turned golden brown then drain it on oil absorbent paper

Serve with mayo or chilli sauce
