Papaya Milk Dessert by Christine Tan NonyaKueh


This recipe calls for 4 adults and 2 kids.
Half the recipe if you are cooking for lesser people

Ingredients:

2 or 3 long Pandan leaves (wash clean and tie knot)
1 litre of milk (i used Meiji brand)
1 fully ripe papaya (washed..skin off..clear seeds and cut into cubes)
Honey (4-5 tablespoons..any brand ..up to u. I used raw honey)
Mini Sago 4 tablespoons (boiled and set aside)
Coconut milk 1 small pkt (any brand..i bought mine from NTUC..Kara brand..i think it's 200ml)
A pinch of salt

Method:
Heat up pot
Pour milk into pot
Add pandan leaves to let it cook for 15mins
Add papaya and honey..mix well and lower your fire..close lid and let it simmer for 10mins
Open lid and stir well.. add salt and coconut milk..stir well for around 5mins
Close fire and serve warm
(Garnish with a teaspoon of sago)
You can serve it cold or hot too

P/s: For breastfeeding moms... best to drink it warm. you know why
