Gula Melaka Jelly by Suri Aziz



Gula melaka layer
2 whole gula melaka, melted to make 200ml
400ml water
30g instant jelly powder ( the one used in making lao ban beancurd)
Boil water and gula melaka dissolve jelly powder.
Set aside or divide and pour 1st layer and cool in fridge.

Coconut milk layer
200ml kara
300ml water
30g instant jelly powder
1/4 tsp salt
Boil kara, water and salt add in jelly powder till dissolve.
* I give it about 5mins apart to set for layering.
* if making 2 layer den let the first layer set slightly firm den top.
* you can add chendol and red bean to the coconut milk to make chendol jelly
