Steamed Chicken Thigh with Oyster Sauce and Wolfberries and Jade Bamboo (玉竹) by Tay Ai Whey




Ingredients

2 chicken thigh
1 tablespoon wolfberries washed
8 - 10 pieces jade bamboo (玉竹)

Seasonings

2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 tablespoon corn flour diluted with 2 tablespoons water

Method

Clean and dry chicken thigh thoroughly. Marinate the ingredients with the seasonings and combine them well. Set aside in the fridge for an hour.

Heat up the wok with water and bring it to boil. Place the chicken thigh in a steaming plate together with the marinated sauce.

Steam the chicken thigh over boiling water for 15 - 20 minutes, making sure it is thoroughly cooked. Serve hot with rice.
