Black Forest cake by Cassandra Poh


I'm using baking taitai Cheryl Lai's recipe

 For the fillings :
Ingredients:
1 can of pitted cherries) u can soak in liqueur for 1 day if u like
500g Whipping cream
50g Caster sugar
1 tbsp Corn flour

Dark chocolate rasps
Chocolate pearl (optional)
Berries (optional)
Cherries (optional)

Method:
Drain out the juice from the cherries and leave aside.
Put juice in a pot and add corn flour. Stir until combined and cook over low heat until boiled and thickened. Stir constantly while cooking. Leave it to cool.
Whip the cream with sugar until stiff.


Note: I used top whipping cream , add 1 tsp of vanilla paste which is more stable for piping. If making for own consumption , use whipping cream as it taste better.
