OLD FASHION EGG STEAM CAKE by Rena Seah Othman


Ingredients:
1 bowl eggs
1 bowl plain flour
1 bowl sugar (add in ¾ sugar cos 1 bowl is a bit too sweet)
½ teaspoon of vanilla (this is option. You can try other flavor like Almond, Pandan etc. But I prefer vanilla)
P/S – my bowl is equivalent to 1 normal cup

 Method:
1. Mix eggs and sugar in a mixer until fluffy (estimate 10 to 15 minutes)
2. Add in the flour and fold
3. Pour in a mould (any mould will do. You can try to put in a Cup Cake mould if you want to)
4. Put in a steamer with HIGH HEAT STEAM
5. Let it steam until cook (I steam for 30 minutes. It depend on how much is your dough. I prick in a satay stick to check if it cooked)

 TIP: Do not open the steamer lid until you are confirmed it’s cooked or not the cake will shrink. After cooked, the cake will shrink a bit and it’s normal.
