Chewy Milo Cookies / Milo Cookies coated with Milo powder / Milo Cookies with Nutella filling by Teo Choong Eng Cindy



 INGREDIENTS
• 125 grams butter
• 1/2 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
• 1 egg
• 1 ¾ cup self raising flour
• 3/4 cup Milo + extra for topping

METHOD

Preheat oven at 180 degrees C.
Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla essence in large bowl until light and creamy.
Beat in egg. Combine dry ingredients. Fold dry ingredients into egg mixture. Divide yr dough into 3 portions.

(1) Chewy Milo cookies - scope 1 tsp of Milo dough and place on try with parchment paper. Bake at 160C for 12 mins. (I like chewy so I bake for 10 mins only)

(2) Cookies coated with Milo powder. Cookies dough are sticky so add some flour till you can rub a ball. Scope 1 tsp of dough , rub into ball and coated with Milo powder. Bake at 160C for 10 mins. Don't over bake it to avoid Milo powder get burn.

(3). Cooking with Nutella filling. - if the dough too sticky add extra flour to made it workable. Scope 1 tsp of dough and flatten it on the tray, scope Nutella in the middle in the dough. Scope another tsp of dough in yr palm and flatten it, place on top of Nutella filling and seal all edges. Bake at 160C for 6 mins. Baking too long unable to hv LAVA effect.
