Sweet & Sour Fish by Cynthia Joseph Selvarajoo


I have used red snapper fish.
1 medium size red snapper fish (cut into slim round pieces, clean and marinate with 1tsp turmeric powder,1tsp chillie powder and 1tsp salt)
10 Red chillies
5 red chillie padi
2 onions
1 tomato
Curry leaves
1 Cinamon stick
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
6 candle nuts
1tsp vinegar
1tbsp ginger and garlic paste
Onion leaves to garnish

Cooking Method;
Firstly deep fry the marinated fish and set aside
Then in a grinder add all the red chillies, chillie padi and candle nut with some water and grind to a thick paste.
The in the wok, put in oil then the cinnamon stick, curry leaves, onions and tomatoes and stir well till golden brown. Then add the ginger garlic paste.
Then add the grind chillie paste and in slow fire stir well for 15mins.
Then add the salt sugar vinegar and stir well.
Finally add the fried fish and stir.
Garnish with onion leaves.
