Butter Cookies by Joanne Wong



About 48 cookies

8 oz of unsalted butter
3/4 cup of sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg york
2 cup flour

Preheat oven @ 170 c

1) Mix butter, sugar, salt, vanilla until creamy
2) add in egg york and mix until incorporated
3) add flour and mix until incorporated
4) put the batter into a piping bag.
5) pipe the cookie
6) bake for 14min (or until the cookie is golden brown)
7) let it cool at a cooling rack
8) after cool, keep in air tight container

** I use open star nozzle about 3/4 inch big
** if your oven is not big, after pipe the 1st batch, u can bake it immediately. Or u can chill it in the fridge for 30min then bake. For 2nd 3rd 4th batches, pipe it on baking paper and refrigerate it.
** refrigerated batter, need longer time to bake, probably about 18min.
