Rose Tart by Ong Poon Yin


I used 4 apples for the filling and 3 big apple for Apple roses.

For Apple Roses:
Drizzle it with some lemon juice, sugar and melted butter. Microwave it for a minute or heat up until soft enough to bend it to make the apple roses.

For the crust :
Can either made with normal short pastry crust (http://www.joyofbaking.com/SweetPastryCrust.html)or use digestive biscuits base. Add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder to the mixture of the crumb to enhance the taste. Filled the tart with apple jam before making the roses and push apple roses slightly into the jam . And decorate with thinly sliced apple roses or just apple slices by itself.
