Scalloped potatoes by Adele Ng Jun Ting

Ingredients (I use agaration):
2 potatoes thinly sliced
2table spoon butter
1table spoon plain flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt and a pinch of black pepper
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese and some to sprinkle at the end
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese ( can be omitted)

Directions:
1. Melt butter then blend in the flour in a small sauce pan
2. Let it sit for a minute
3. Add the milk, stirring with a whisk
4. Season with salt and pepper
5. Cook sauce on low until smooth and boiling, stir occasionally with a whisk (sauce will thicken)
6. Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese
7. Place half of the sliced potatoes in a lightly greased casserole dish ( mine was a 'just nice for two person' casserole)
8. Pour half of cheese sauce over potatoes
9. Repeat with second layer of potatoes and cheese sauce, press down abit with the spoon
10. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and a pinch of mixed herbs for extra flavour
11. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour at 180 degree Celsius
