Spicy assam seafood by Jennifer Lu‎

3 medium small fish
10 prawns
10 okra
2 tomato
1 medium onion
1 lime

2 Tbsp chilli paste
10 chilli padi
4 shallot
1 stalk lemongrass
1 piece turmeric
1 Tbsp belacan powder

1 cup assam juice
1 Tbsp sugar


1.Blend all spices well combined.

2. Heat up 2 Tbsp oil.Pan fry fish until golden brown.Set aside for later use.

3.Use remaining oil to cook spices paste until fragrant

4. Add okra and tomato in the pan and stir well with chilli paste.Add seasoning and follow with fish and prawns.Cover and let it boil for 8-10 mins over high heat.

5. Top with onion slice and lime. Serve.
