Spicy Calamari Rings by Chin Chin Chan

2 big squids (500g) - cleaned & pat dry . Cut into rings abt slightly < 1cm wide.

For coating : mix well
1/4 cup of all purpose flour +
1/4 cup of corn flour
I used a container with lid & shake.

Marinade :
Salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp 5 spice powder
1 small egg
1 tbsp curry powder , can add a bit more if you like the spice.

Method :
1. Add rings to marinade ingredients & leave it for 30 mins
2. Coat rings with flour mix & deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
3. Dish & served hot.

Note: best to fry right after flour coating.
